There was a cougar incident the following year at the meadow in this Sheep River Provincial Park photo. A couple was hiking, when a couple cougars appeared and took after the guy when he ran. You should never run from a predator, as it triggers their predatory nature. Your best bet is too look as large as you can and yell or make noise. Running from a barking dog can trigger the same predatory response.
ACTORS: Originally, the role of Mikella was cast to a different actress. Dropping out at the last minute, because her agent felt the role was too strenuous, Writer Director Allex Michael stepped in to play the search dog handler.
< Due to independent budget problems, the first canine actor became too old to play the role of Ebbey.
Backup Liaison: The role of Jesse, the search dog team's new Quadriplegic Backup Liaison, was originally going to be a computer.
A couple characters in the film are virtual.
With a strong vision of how certain characters should look, Director Allex Michael had some actors wear prosthetics.
Several crew members ended up as background performers. The shy ones are those whose face never appears in the film.
Mikella's Residence: In most films, it's rare when the protagonist's living quarters match the reality of their paycheck. Though creatively decorated, artist and volunteer search dog handler Mikella definitely lives in a basement suite.

Gathering background footage, and search dog shots, Director Allex Michael and Ebbey spent a lot of time hiking by themselves in the mountains. Most of their outings were during the early spring, when few or no other human visitors are around. The pair had two frightening experiences.
